  • easy access from parking lot to the beach

  • u-shape pebble beach with driftwood

  • trees and greenery in surrounding area

  • popular destination, semi crowded

2. Boardwalk Across from Beach

  • boardwalk and dock with view of the sound

  • surrounded by calm water and pebble beaches

  • directly behind Rosario beach (1 min walk)

3. Rosario Head

  • 10 minute hike with gradual elevation

  • smooth dusty trail with some rocks and roots

  • gorgeous views of the bay and open landscape

4. Bowman Bay State Park

  • connected to a campground but didn’t seem crowded

  • easy access to beach from the parking lot

  • surrounding greenery and forest

  • less busy than Rosario Beach

  • north side viewpoint with a small parking area

  • access to the bridge via a short path

  • not much room to explore besides viewpoint

  • Directly next to the bridge for easy access

  • Has a steep pathway that winds down to the beach

  • This beach has a view of the bridge

  • This will feel like a “hike” on the way up

  • Approximately 10 minutes down, 15 minutes up

7. Deception Pass Parking

  • This parking lot is much closer to beach access

  • There is a steep path down to the beach, but it’s very short

  • A trail through the forest can also take you to a rocky cliff

  • Can access two different beaches from this location
