1. Decide on a Location

The first step in planning your adventure elopement is to decide on a location.

Focus on finding a place that feels special to you.

Once you have a few elopement locations in mind begin researching the logistics of that location.

2. Create a Guest List

When you elope you are no longer bound by traditional norms.

You can invite a small group or no one at all. It is completely your call.

Only you get to decide who comes to your wedding.

Read through my blog posts about how to handle friends, family, and your guest list.

3. Book Vendors

Vendors and venues aren’t the first things that come to mind when planning an adventure elopement.

But if you want a bouquet or a mermaid braid you might want to hire a couple of wedding vendors.

4. Plan Your Day

The best part about eloping is you can do anything you want on your wedding day. Sunrise hikes to the summit or spend the morning relaxing and get married on a rugged beach at sunset.

Elopements leave room for adventure and spontaneity.

Create a general timeline with your photographer but don’t be afraid to ditch the scheduled time slots and live a little.

• what to wear while hiking

5. Get Married!

Don’t rush it. Take little moments alone together.

You chose to elope. You chose to do something different.

You created a day that has meaning to you. Relax and enjoy your wedding day.
